On 28 May, 2012, the Honorable High Court of Andhra Pradesh has set aside the sub quota of 4.5% seats under the OBC-M category in admissions to Central Educational Institutions. Therefore, as of now, all the OBC-M candidates have to be treated as OBC candidates for the purpose of admission. However, the matter is under consideration of the Honorable Supreme Court.

Candidates who have received the offer under OBC-M category in the first list, based on the judgment and on the legal position as of a later date (announcement of the second list) will be appraised accordingly.
