STEP-I : Make PAYMENT

In order to fill in the online application form, payment of application fee has to be made apriori. Payment is made through Demand Draft only.

Application fee for male candidates:

       Rs. 1200/- for GENERAL and OBC (Non-creamy layer) category and
       Rs. 600/- for SC/ST/PD category.

FEMALE CANDIDATES ARE NOT REQUIRED TO PAY ANY APPLICATION FEE

The application fee is not refundable.

Demand drafts (Rs. 1200/- for GENERAL/OBC (Non-creamy layer) category and Rs. 600 for SC/ST/PD category) should be made in favour of Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur on any nationalized bank payable at Kharagpur, West Bengal

STEP-II : Fill in the ONLINE application form

Click on 'Apply ONLINE' to view the application form. Fill in the appropriate data including payment details. You must enter the Demand Draft number, name of the Bank, etc for the payment details.

You are allowed to choose two cities from Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi as your choice of examination center.

STEP-III : UPLOAD PHOTO & SIGNATURE

Scan your recent good quality non-attested photograph in .JPG format. The width and height of the photo should be 3.5cm and 4.5cm respectively. Make sure that Memory Size of the photograph file is arround 50KB.

Scan your full signature (black in color) in .JPG format. The signature should not be in CAPITAL letters. The width and height of the image file of the signature should be 6cm and 2cm respectively. Make sure that Memory Size of the photograph file is arround 50KB.

Signature and photo are the proof of your identity. Initials and signature in CAPITAL LETTERS is not allowed.

STEP-IV : PRINT the online application form

After filling the online application form and uploading the photo and signature, you will be able to generate a PDF document of the online application with your specific details/data/photo/signature. If you do not have adobe acrobat reader please download it from MMST website Adobe Acrobat Reader. You will be able to print the application form including photo and signature using adobe acrobat reader.

STEP-V : DECLARATION

Verify the printed application form carefully, so that there is not mistake in the data provided by you. Put your full signature in black ink at the bottom of the application form. Before sending the application form and the demand draft to the GATE Office, IIT Kharagpur, ensure that all the relavent documents (enclosures) are attached with the form.

STEP-VI : OBTAIN OBC(Non-Creamy layer)/SC/ST/Disability CERTIFICATE (If Applicable)

Attested copy of OBC(Non-Creamy layer)/SC/ST certificate and/or Disability certificate should be sent along with the application form if you belong to any of this category.

STEP-VII : CHECK LIST

Place printed online application form, Demand Draft (for male candidates), attested copy of MBBS Degree certificates, attested copy of proof of having passed Mathmetics in +2 level and if applicable, the OBC (Non-Creamy layer)/SC/ST and/or Disability certificates in an envelope and send it to THE CHAIRMAN, GATE, INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY KHARAGPUR, KHARAGPUR - 721302 by SPEED POST.
