Q: Qualifying Degree

Q: Defect in Signature and/or photo

Q: Defect in data entered like name, address, etc. corrections required
A: Print the form & paste a proper photo in the format, sign & send the form along with a covering letter where the correct data is given. .
Q: I have registered with particular GATE paper, say EE. I would like to register for EC GATE paper.
A: Make a fresh application with new GATE paper with different email id. Send a covering letter for withdrawal of the earlier application with details along with the new application. .
Q: Printing of Application form
A: Printing the Application Form in color is not mandatory.
Q: How do I make the fee payment for GATE 2013 examination?
A: You can make the payment during the ONLINE application process by choosing one of the following options:
Online Payment: Netbanking through the payment gateway.
Challan Payment: Payment by cash at any branch of Canara Bank or State Bank of India.
No DD/Cheque/Credit Card/Debit Card, etc options are available.
Q: I want to pay online by my credit/debit card, but I don't see that option!
A: You can only use internet banking (netbanking) facilities for online payment. Credit /debit cards will not be accepted.
Q: I am a passout student with a valid provisional certificate
A: You attach the provisional certificate along with the application form.
Q: I am a passout student but the provisional certificate is expired
A: You attach all the marksheets along with the application form.
Q: I am a passout student but no provisional certificate/ no marksheet
A: Unless you submit a valid provisional certificate/ marksheet your application will not be accepted.
Q: I am a Final Year student/appeared in the final semester/year, result awaited
A: While doing online registration choose the option NO against Qualifying Degree passed. Principal Certificate appears on the first page of printed application. Get it signed by Principal/Head of your Institution.
