Revised FAQs

GATE 2014 Scorecard

  1. My Actual Marks in "AA Paper" is 26.33 and Normalized Marks is 24.96. The Qualifying Mark for General Category is 25.00. Am I qualified? As the Qualifying Marks are decided based on Normalized Marks, once the Normalized marks of a candidate are below the Qualifying Marks for General Category, the candidate is automatically treated as "Not qualified" under "General Category". However, if the Normalized marks are above the "OBC-Qualifying Marks", the candidate can be treated as "Qualified" provided such a candidate produces a valid OBC(NCL) certificate at the admitting institute.
